A long time has passed

My dogs are enjoying life retired from the show ring.  I went to the Samoyed national show in Pennsylvania last year, without a dog along, and had a wonderful time.  I am going to the National again this year, which will be at Southfork Ranch.  Very fun.  I will be sharing a room with Velvet Simmons, with whom I shared a room last year.  I know I will again spend my time with my dear friend, Kristi Schopfer. I'm looking forward to the trip!

Reporting in

Been a long time since posting! Dogs are sweet and happy. I am happy, too, as I have moved to the Del Amo stores in Torrance, near home!! Been driving freeways to work for about 27 years, so driving 7 miles each way on surface streets is heaven. David is fine, and kids are fine. Matt started at Stanford Graduate School of Business a week ago, and we are busy planning Molly's wedding.

Lots to report

What a busy "first quarter" of the retail year. Matt and Elka celebrated their first wedding anniversary, and in late April, Molly and Hugo got engaged. In March, Taylor beat over 70 samoyeds in one show, and as I write this, she ranks in the top 10 in the country. Go, TT. She has a very tough time beating the big fluffy boys, but at the moment, we are still having fun, and the wins we do get are fun. Here are Taylor's ads that run in doggie magazines. We are having fun having them created... its all a bunch of funnies, but fun, too!!

Ha ha... how many photos of dogs can I post on this blog? Here are some very recent shots of pooches enjoying themselves at home this January.

Happy New Year!

Today is Hardy's 3rd birthday. Hard to believe.

Holiday season is just finishing up. We got a bonus this year, because Molly was home for a few days that turned into a week, because of the big blizzard in NYC. Her flight was canceled, then her next flight was canceled, so we had her home for such a nice long visit. Hardy kept her company while she worked from home.

Here are a bunch of random photos from the past 6 weeks. TT has a new handler, Tara Schultz, who she's been seen with on these pages a couple of other times while she was helping out. Her first show on TT as her official handler, she won a Major Breed win toward her grand championship. One more Major win, and she'll have her extra title. Happy New Year, All!

I've been very lax

Not a lot of exciting things to report, though TT is back out in the show ring, and has done a little winning. Go, TT! Hardy has had a marriage proposal, so we'll see if there are puppies in the New Year. Cross your fingers! He's very excited, of course. Yes, those are my legs in a couple of those photos!

A Relaxing Saturday

Went to a dog show this morning (TT got best of opposite sex to Best of Breed), then enjoyed a quiet afternoon at home. Including a photo of H from earlier in the week, before his bath. He is becoming quite the manly man!

TT's Breed Win

Taylor won Best of Breed last weekend. It was exciting to watch, and boiling hot in Cerritos. 107 degrees! Love it that my friend, Scott Hoover, caught the exact moment when the judge pointed to Taylor!

International Champion, Am Ch. Hardy

Hardy and I went to a show this weekend that could earn him his International Championship to go with his AKC Championship. A very chaotic environment, but Hardy showed well, and earned his Int'l title. Joseph, Carlos's assistant, showed him for me. Carlos took the weekend off, so I "leased" Joseph and we had a blast.

More vacation...

TT is going to miss me when my vacation is over!

Sorry, Pam!

Here are some photos because if I don't post something, I will get hate mail from Pam. ha ha. TT was enjoying a rest, draped around my neck and over the back of the sofa this morning after her morning walk. Hardy took a rest in a more traditional location...
