Hardy Goes to Burbank

We had a fun weekend at the Burbank Kennel Club show. The kids gave us 2 nights at the Sheraton Universal for David's birthday, so we could relax and not drive up and down the Harbor Freeway all weekend.

Hardy didn't win in the blazing sun on Saturday - has never done well in the afternoon heat, come to think of it. But he did win on Sunday, and here is a movie. I'm including a bunch of nice stills, including a couple of stills from the general show set up, as we liked looking at a set-up full of Irish Setters and an x-pen full of Poms.

Judith Stein Photos

Judith Stein, a very nice lady who takes dog photos, then paints from them and sells the paintings, was at the Prescott show. She and her son work on this project together. I believe they make crafts, like tee shirts and things, with the paintings. She sent me some of her photos of Hardy. They're nice! So I'm sharing.

Got it on film!

Ha! I got Hardy's leg-lifting on film by accident. Isn't that just what you wanted to see? I took him over to visit my best friend, who is fighting a very aggressive cancer, and then on a walk right near their house, which is a block from the ocean. I caught quite a few photos there, so here they are.

Hardy's Trip to Prescott

We had lots of fun on our weekend to Prescott, AZ. Because there is NO GRASS in Prescott, Hardy became an expert at lifting his leg. Now we are back home, so not so much on the leg lifting this morning...

We really enjoyed the weekend, as we got to spend most of it with Susan Davies, Hardy's grandpa Tug's owner. She was so supportive and shared her knowledge and wisdom, and is such a lovely and kind lady, to boot. Our new handler, Carlos, is a delight. He moves like a dream and can even do slight of hand! Hardy started out pacing (wrong movement) on Saturday, and every other handler stopped him and started over. Carlos went la la la and presto, Hardy was in his proper gait without ever stopping. Magic, truly.

Hardy took reserve winners dog on Saturday, but won a point as winners dog on Sunday. He and Carlos looked beautiful together. Here are some photos and a movie. I've also added a movie of Tug from Saturday, when he won Working Group, 4th place.
