Don't know how...

Don't know how I missed this nice photo from the weekend. I really like it. It is of Tracy Turner with Hardy while we wait for his BIS photo.

Sunday at Lake Perris

The weather was spectacular and the show site was amazing. Gorgeous lake with mountains rising in the distance. Here's a video from today. Hardy showed beautifully for Carlos, and he did get Reserve Winners Dog. We were happy. He looked great.

Wins Puppy Best in Show

What an exciting weekend! Hardy won Winners Dog, Best of Winners, Best Puppy, Best Working Group Puppy and Puppy Best in Show. So cute. We had a great time at Carlos's set up all weekend. Tracy Turner was set up next door, and she was a wonderful support, getting Hardy groomed perfectly and earned him his G1 in Puppy Group.

I have lots of pictures and movies. I'll post the movie from today (Sunday) in a separate posting. Sorry the Group judging video and the Puppy Best in Show video are so long, but David didn't come with us this weekend, and I wanted him to have a feel for all the action.

Hardy's Testing Evaluation and Certificate

Here's Hardy's testing evaluation and his certificate. Jerome M. Stewart did the evaluation and passed Hardy on this test; the Samoyed Club of Orange County made out the certificate. The comments at the bottom say "Very nice manner with stock and handler."

More Hardy Herding Sheep

These photos are fuzzy, but are still fun action shots. They are stills captured from the video camera from a part not included in the video we made. I like them even though they aren't nice and sharp.

Hardy Herds Sheep with Jerome Stewart

Hardy had his Herding Instinct Capability Test today. He did a great job. The tester, Jerome M. Stewart, kept saying Excellent, excellent, excellent. Hardy took off and started herding at once, without stopping to think. He'd never seen a sheep before this event. We had no idea how he would do, since he shies from yard signs and palm fronds.

Jerry said Hardy adapted and adjusted quickly and was very responsive to his directions. Later today I'll put a scan of his scoring sheet up on this post, too. He can now have H.I.C. after his name, if we want.

The test was sponsored by the Orange County Samoyed Club. Thank you, Judy Tong, for inviting us. We can't wait to be official members.
